Junnikkala Oy prefers logging contractors, who take environmental aspects into consideration in their activities, manners of logging, selection and maintenance of machines as well as in preparation for damages. Junnikkala Oy's goal is to control and decrease the environmental impacts possibly caused to the environment, possibilities to use it for multiple purposes, the landscapes and neighbours by the procurement and transportation of wood. The Finnish Forest Certification organisation has admitted Junnikkala Oy the Annex 4 of PEFC certificate about the point of origin declaration of wood.

Junnikkala Oy was granted with the environmental certificate standard ISO 14001:2004 in 2001. To fulfil and improve the care of our environment evaluations as well as internal and external controls are regularly done.
